14. Unglamorous

This week was in a word, unglamorous.

And that is okay! Not every week in the mission is going to be life changing and bursting with stories. We did the usual missionary grind; we did service, we messaged 20 new people a day on Facebook, we taught lessons, and we crossed our fingers we got fed dinner a couple times.

We had a bomb zone conference too. I felt a little weird since I didn't know anybody once again. It was fun to meet a lot of new people and put names to faces. It was spiritually uplifting and a good time all around. Plus, we went to dinner after and I tried a burger with peanut butter, jelly, and kangaroo meat. Honestly, not bad!

I was thinking a lot about what it means to have an unglamorous week. Sometimes it is easy to fall into the pit of comparison when I see other missionaries baptizing all the people they teach and then going on to teach tons of new people. However, I also know that God sent me here at this time for a reason. Not every week will be of biblical proportions, but every week will be worth it! I teach other people all the time to trust in God's plan for them, I think it's time I start taking my own advice.

Also, I learned Argentina will open their borders on November 1st! I better get working on my Spanish because right now it is no bueno! Have a great week and I'll see y'all on the other side!

PICS!

1. Me and my Biehn are happy because of zone conference and interesting burgers.

2. Your weekly sky update: the sky is still there.

3. This dog got into my bag and stole my chapstick, starting a 5 minute chase around a member's house to get it back.

4. Sister Silifaiva! Someday I want to be as cool as her.

5. Manicure time! Featuring the $10 matching wedding rings we got at Wal-Mart ;)

6. We did service next to an alpaca farm! Now we are just trying to figure out how to do service at the alpaca farm...

7. This is what happens when your dinner appointment cancels at the last second... not complaining!

8. Our new friend Kat paints rocks, and I liked that this one matched my Book of Mormon. She said she would paint one for me!
