57: Fayboo

Image
Fayboo is how everyone says Facebook here. We always thought it was really funny until one day we were in the house of an older lady in the ward who did NOT understand the word Facebook until we very slowly said fayyboooo... And then she got it.  This week was wonderfully busy yet slightly less successful than usual. I wish people would just be meaner to my face and tell me they aren't interested instead of leading us on a wild goose chase for a week or two. But hey, all in the life of an hermana. Update on Agostina, she's awesome! She has been reading the Book of Mormon every night and is in 2 Nephi. She also reads the kid's Book of Mormon to her daughter every night and helps her understand the stories. She just has to go sign up for a date to get married at the courthouse (which she said could take a few months)! So we will be praying for a wedding date for them! This week has been full of little moments that help me feel at home here.  Like laughing with the missionar...

56: A Week

Here is a quick play by play highlight reel of the week :) I had the most fun Pday of my life last week! I spent the day running around Rosario with some other missionaries. We took way too many pictures at the monument of the flag, at the Newell's Old Boys stadium, at lunch, and shopping. It was fun to spend time doing normal kid stuff in a foreign country haha! Zone Conference!! It was amazing. We invited all the youth and young adults who are preparing to serve a mission to this conference and it was super spiritual. A lot of my friends are finishing their missions and coming home at the end of this transfer, so they gave their last testimony. It made me so sad because they are all such great missionaries and I'm going to miss them all so much. On this week's episode of exchanges, I went to Cañada de Gomez with Hna Alvarez and it was a blast. We ate burgers, ice cream, and did a lot of street contacting. We even met a man who started singing his favorite worship song to ...

55: Agustina Y Viviana

Wow this week FLEW! We had MLC, Zone council, exchanges, a trip to Casilda, and more. We took advantage of every minute we had in our area to be with the people. Either talking to everyone we saw in the streets, teaching lessons, or visiting members.     AGOSTINA!! She's awesome. We met her 2 weeks ago. We passed by her house and saw her and her son in their window, but kept walking. We only made it a few steps when we felt like we should go back and talk to her. So we shared the Plan of Salvation and she has been coming to church! This week we taught her about the Restoration of Christ's Church and she told us an incredible story.      She said a year ago she was deathly sick, pregnant, and alone in a hospital. She said that she prayed to God and told Him that if everything turned out alright she would seek Him. She was crying and told us that it was no coincidence that we passed by her house and talked to her. Wow. I am so lucky to be part of her story and see...

54: Running Around With My Bff

This week was SO GOOD. So fun.  We had transfers and I am still in Carcarañá but now with my girl Hna Koch!! It is SO fun to be comps with her because she and I have been friends forever in the mission but we never served around each other, and now we get to be comps! We are both shocked it finally happened haha. This week was spent hitting the streets and finding God's children. I dont have the Facebook assignment anymore so I am 100% in my area during the day. But this transfer, we are STLs so now we just don't have any freetime at night because we have a call almost every single night of the week. I feel busier now than any other time of my mission. We found some REALLY awesome families who have a lot of potential. A couple of them came to church yesterday, and all of them want to meet with us this week. I think it was because we are working on opening our mouths and talking to every person we see. Which is nerve wracking sometimes, but we have seen some miracles. And what...
