I say it once every few months, but this time I really mean it. It was the longest, shortest week of my life. We had transfers and I am still in Funes, but I am with my BEST FRIEND Hermana Judd as a companion! It is so much fun. I have been so blessed with the best companions in the whole world. This transfer comes with a ton of excitement, new ideas, hard work, and a new assignment.      The new responsibilities started right off the bat and we got to go pick up the new missionaries at the airport who had just arrived from the Missionary Training Centers in Mexico and Brazil and Peru and all over the place. It was so fun to talk to them in their super basic spanish and hype them up about the mission! We also got to train their trainers and introduce them to their new companions, train some of the new Sister Training Leaders on their responsibilities, and then also set tons of goals and plans for our zone that we cover as well. It is a lot of work, but it is such joyful wo...

Yall get two weeks in one! How lucky!!    Basically the last two weeks have been a blur, not a lot of time and a lot of things to do. We have awesomely MIRACULOUS friends who are learning and accepting the gospel, coming to church, and growing in their testimonies.   For example, my friend Mariano (with his dope cross neck tattoo) comes every week and asks a ton of questions in Sunday School because he has a hard time understanding the Old Testament... which I do too, not gonna lie.   Our other friend Sebastian immediately took up our invitation to read the Book of Mormon every day and can already see how starting his day with that spiritual feast helps him have more hope throughout the day.   Everyday I realize how lucky I am to be a missionary, and I feel like I'm living a dream that I never want to end. A dream that includes lots of stray dogs, watch tanlines, and gnarly feet calluses.   As this transfer comes to an end, I have been able to look back and...

63: Allergic To Argentina

Funes is beautiful in the spring, there are tons of flowers in bloom, trees with beautiful white buds, and the birds are singing. Too bad I am allergic to it all. Despite all the blowing of the nose and rubbing of the eyes, we've had a great week. The Lord put 7 people in our path who want to learn more about Jesus Christ! Compared to the beginning of the month when we found 1 person in 2 weeks, we have been pretty blessed. It has been a testament to me of the value of hard work and patience.  I feel like I say this in every email, but there are just so many little things that make me fall in love with Argentina and the mission. This week included beautiful sunsets, random animals in places they shouldn't be, and signs outside of kioscos. Also this week, we got to hear some pretty amazing stories from some pretty miraculous people. One who lived a literal Cinderella story and escaped from her abusive stepmom to marry the love of her life and raise a happy family. Another one wa...
