33: Highs And Lows

I don't have a ton of time this week but I want y'all to know that I'm alive haha!

This week had some highlights:

-exchanges with Hermana Ponce de Leon out in San Nicolas

-Met with a family who lived in a tin roof shack on the side of the railroad tracks and I couldn't hear anything they said over the sound of the rain, but they were some of the kindest people I've met.

-someone we taught gave us a massive bag filled with facturas. They were the best facturas I have ever had in my entire life.

-Ate at a food truck called Glup! I still prefer Whataburger though.

-It cooled off! I don't get heat stroke every time I step outside now.

-I'm not sure why all my highlights include food this week, but I have to talk about ROGELES. They are an Argentine speciality that are basically crepe cakes if the crepes were crunchy and the filling was dulce de leche. So. Good.

-MARTA came to church!! We walked with her to the capilla and a 15 minute walk turned into 45 minutes, but that's ok because she came!

There were some lowlights too:

-I met the first dog that I didn't like here. It was a crusty small white dog with a mohawk cut into his hair that genuinely bit me out of the hatred in his little heart.

-got caught in a DOWNPOUR multiple times, but maybe this should be a highlight because it was pretty fun

-millions of mosquitos descended upon Venado Tuerto this week. We get swarmed every time we step outside. I wear bug spray as perfume now but still got a bite on the inside of my ear...

-Had tons of unfun meetings for technology and had a HUGE panic attack when we thought we accidentally spent 4x our budget on the last set of ads (we didn't actually, so it's all good)

-Went to finish editing a video that I thought would take 30 minutes. It took 6 hours oops.

Long story short, it was an uneventful week full of hard work and good food. We may not be seeing the results from our work here... but we know that our work is not going to waste! 1 Corinthians 15:58 :) I know that God is a God of miracles, and oh boy does Venado Tuerto need one.

Love y'all!!

PICS

1. How many missionaries does it take to light an Argentine stove?

2. We found a cockroach in our powered laundry detergent bag. At this point, they're just being disrespectful. (Also, peep the watch tan line)

3. Street art yeah

4&5. It's not often we see other Hermanas, so we take a lot of pictures when we do hahah.
