36: Vos?

Well! Transfers happened and I'm staying in Venado Tuerto!! With Hna Easton!! This transfer is probably gonna be the best one yet. We spent a lot of time last transfer figuring out what doesn't work so we are ready to get started.

With that being said, we found a TON of new people this week. One was a golden man named Fran who showed up to the church because he wanted a Book of Mormon... say what??? He's so cool. He lives outside of our area though, so we had to pass him off to the missionaries serving in his town.

We also found Andres, who is going through a really hard time because of some recent deaths in his family. We've only gotten to teach him over the phone because he's in Neuquen half the time for his job.

We had an interesting meeting with a very católica lady. She came to our church building to meet with us, the missionaries of the church, and then got offended when I said that our church has the fullness of the gospel. Not quite sure what she thought was going to happen in our lesson.

We have been teaching this little 8 year old named Juani. His abuela is a member, and his mom is a really inactive member. He started coming to church with his abuela and decided he wanted to get baptized, so we are teaching him and helping him to prepare for that.

We also had an asada with our branch president, but the food really was NOT ready in time for curfew so we ate as fast as humanly possible and then sprinted home in the muggy night. I was so full and it was so painful, but very worth it.

My fun Spanish news is that I'm just giving in and learning vos. Vos is the Argentine way of saying you. It has its own conjugations and kids literally don't understand you if you don't use it, so I decided to pick it up. It's surprisingly easy and I understand A LOT more now haha.

In other things that happened this week, we found a newer and better peanut butter. We are getting closer and closer to the real deal. Also, in the middle of a lesson I noticed something in Hna Eastons hair and went to get it.... it was bird poop. Yikes.

It was a pretty fire week, all things considered! One of my favorite parts was studying "The Living Christ" because of one line in it that says, "His life, which is central to all human history, neither began in Bethlehem nor concluded on Calvary."  That brings me SO MUCH PEACE! He's our best friend and big brother and Savior and Redeemer all wrapped up in one, and we can get to know Him on a very deep and personal level if we want to! Sometimes I take that for granted. So studying that was a good reminder for me.

Love yall! Go find a backroad and listed to your favorite music for me :')
