54: Running Around With My Bff

This week was SO GOOD. So fun.

We had transfers and I am still in Carcarañá but now with my girl Hna Koch!! It is SO fun to be comps with her because she and I have been friends forever in the mission but we never served around each other, and now we get to be comps! We are both shocked it finally happened haha.

This week was spent hitting the streets and finding God's children. I dont have the Facebook assignment anymore so I am 100% in my area during the day. But this transfer, we are STLs so now we just don't have any freetime at night because we have a call almost every single night of the week. I feel busier now than any other time of my mission.

We found some REALLY awesome families who have a lot of potential. A couple of them came to church yesterday, and all of them want to meet with us this week. I think it was because we are working on opening our mouths and talking to every person we see. Which is nerve wracking sometimes, but we have seen some miracles. And what's the worst that can happen? They say no? That's no reason to not try.

We also went to Casilda for the first time. It's another town that is included in our area, but we had never been before this week. We went for lunch with a member, did our studies in their house, and then went with them to visit a couple inactive families that live there. It was actually a blast. We ate yummy food and met the cutest couple, the Girellos. They're both around 60 years old, he's from Casilda, she's from Medellín, Colombia, and they met on Facebook haha! The lovebirds got married 6 years ago and they are so adorable together.

Other fun things include:
-going to a MCDONALDS in Rosario!! It was so fun. Really expensive and honestly better than US McDonalds
-mission devotional on Zoom with Pte Tolman's kids
-getting stuck in Casilda because our phone broke and we couldn't call a taxi... may have gotten home after curfew oops
-made chocolate chip cookies but they didn't turn out quite right haha
-still listening to Christmas music
-sharing all of my clothes with Hna Koch

But this week was great overall. This transfer, I have decided to work on developing charity. The more I study it, the more I feel the gap that stands between me and being like Christ. But one scripture has really been helping me this week. In this, the Lord is talking about the blessings that come to those who, "keep all my commandments, and [they] that seeketh so to do". I love that as long as we are TRYING and we have the desire to be more like Him, He will bless us for our efforts. That's reassuring because I have a long way to go haha!

Much love, HAPPY 4TH!!!!
