56: A Week
Here is a quick play by play highlight reel of the week :)
I had the most fun Pday of my life last week! I spent the day running around Rosario with some other missionaries. We took way too many pictures at the monument of the flag, at the Newell's Old Boys stadium, at lunch, and shopping. It was fun to spend time doing normal kid stuff in a foreign country haha!
Zone Conference!!
It was amazing. We invited all the youth and young adults who are preparing to serve a mission to this conference and it was super spiritual. A lot of my friends are finishing their missions and coming home at the end of this transfer, so they gave their last testimony. It made me so sad because they are all such great missionaries and I'm going to miss them all so much.
On this week's episode of exchanges, I went to Cañada de Gomez with Hna Alvarez and it was a blast. We ate burgers, ice cream, and did a lot of street contacting. We even met a man who started singing his favorite worship song to us in the middle of the street. Not bad.
On Saturday, we had a flood of young adults from Rosario come to Carcaraña for an activity based on missionary work. It was SO FUN to be around a bunch of people my age. We drank mate, played games, made a video for our FB page, and ate lots of snacks.
And as y'all know, we never have a shortage of interesting stories to share from talking to people in the streets. This week, we met a man who immediately told us that he is Anti-Christ. But then transitioned into speaking english and asking us about heavy metal. Sebastian is a unique fellow, but he did accept a Restoration pamphlet.
We also taught a woman this week who gave us interesting vibes, but we figured we could go back with a member to see if she had real interest in learning more. When we told the members about her, they told us that we absolutely could not go visit her again, seeing as she practices witchcraft using dirt she steals from the local cemetery.
But, on the brighter side of things! Agostina is so amazing. On Tuesday we told her she couldn't get baptized until she got married, and by Sunday she had told her boyfriend that he was impeding her spiritual growth and she wants to get married. So they are going to get married ASAP! Yay families!
Today I just wanted to share with y'all a verse I have been reflecting on a lot recently. It's really well known and I'm sure you've heard enough talks on it already, so I'll spare you my thoughts. But y'all should ponder on it and see what it says to you!!
Helaman 5:12
"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."
