Yall get two weeks in one! How lucky!!
Basically the last two weeks have been a blur, not a lot of time and a lot of things to do. We have awesomely MIRACULOUS friends who are learning and accepting the gospel, coming to church, and growing in their testimonies.
For example, my friend Mariano (with his dope cross neck tattoo) comes every week and asks a ton of questions in Sunday School because he has a hard time understanding the Old Testament... which I do too, not gonna lie.
Our other friend Sebastian immediately took up our invitation to read the Book of Mormon every day and can already see how starting his day with that spiritual feast helps him have more hope throughout the day.
Everyday I realize how lucky I am to be a missionary, and I feel like I'm living a dream that I never want to end. A dream that includes lots of stray dogs, watch tanlines, and gnarly feet calluses.
As this transfer comes to an end, I have been able to look back and reflect on what I've learned. I think working on my prayers helped me to better see God's hand working in my life to bring me joy. Being companions with Hermana Ugazio taught me that when someone has a testimony of Jesus Christ and his Atonement, they can face anything with incredible strength. Through the happy moments and the sad, I was always able to feel that I am a Child of God.
I hope I take all these wonderful little moments home with me in my suitcase and my heart because they've made me who I am. Evelyn has learned a lot from Hermana Thrasher, and I can't wait to see what the next few transfers have in store.
Love y'all DEMASIADO!!
