76: Crismuh
This week was SO full.
We had a zone council to help the missionaries know how to better help their friends progress in the gospel. I gotta train them on what steps they need to take to help their friends who have a date to be baptized, and it was so fun haha.
Unfortunately, that day Hnermana Neuffer also got bit by the meanest dog I've seen on my mission. It drew a little blood but she was mostly just sad that it broke her favorite bead bracelet.... rip.
We visited some of my favorite people this week, including Tamara, Olga, Mario, Maricel, and more. When we went to visit Olga she was busy making homemade pasta, then invited us in to see the process. Long story short, we left with a half kilo of freshly made pasta. That's a Christmas miracle.
Mundial fever is still in full swing. Everywhere you go it's blue and white. Messi's face is plastered on EVERYTHING. I mean billboards, t-shirts, graffiti, bags of sand, posters, bottles of soda, bags of chips, you name it. Every store has blue and white outfits in the windows with signs about the Mundial. Everyone is out in their Argentina jerseys. Argentina played 2 games this week and won both (obviously) and I am TOTALLY hooked on mundial hype.
I got to go on divisions to Echesortu with the amazing Hna Adriasola, she's the cutest. Literally like a doll. She taught me how to make Chilean banana milk and I taught her how to properly enjoy tofu. It was a successful division I'd say.
This week we also had interviews with President and Hermana Tolman. With President, we just chatted about the future of the mission and my area like old pals. With Hermana Tolman, we just cried together for 20 minutes about how much we love each other haha. It was an emotional roller coaster.
In other news, Christmas has officially started!!!!! We only listen to festive music and Hna Neuffer has made about 19 million snowflakes to decorate the pension. I love Christmas and I especially love being a missionary during this season. And I love when the Church starts the Light the World campaign each year.
If you know me, you know I love service, and Light the World combines Christmas and service in the most festive, cheerful, uplifting, and Christlike way. This year, there's a list of 50 ideas of acts of service YOU can do this December to share the light of Christmas with others.
I'm going to put a copy of the list in my photo album and I challenge you to do one thing from the list every day until Christmas. I PROMISEEE you will feel the special spirit of this sacred season more as you look outward to serve and love this month!!
Don't forget what the Savior taught:
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
Matthew 5:16
Love you guys, but Jesus loves you best!!!
