77: The Last One
This week had a lot of lasts. Last pday, last district council, last interview, last time saying the first vision in a lesson, last comp inventory haha. First and hopefully last time a crackhead grabs my hand and kisses it in the middle of a crosswalk in Rosario.
After 18 months of service, I can say it wasn't easy but it was so worth it. All the hard things of a mission can't even come close to comparing with the absolute joy that comes from being a representative of Jesus Christ.
I'm grateful for the people I met in Oregon and Argentina, including members, companions, leaders, investigators, and random contacts. Each of them taught me something and changed my life in some way.
I'm grateful for the lessons I learned while serving my mission, like how to love and be loved. How to fully depend on the Lord. How to pray with sincerity. How to work harder than I thought possible.
I'm grateful for the way my testimony has grown on my mission. I know Christ lives. I know He is my Brother and He loves me perfectly. He has never left me, and never will. I'm grateful for the personal relationship I could develop with Him.
And I'm grateful for yall! Thanks for reading and supporting me. Thanks for praying for me and our friends. I love you guys lots and lots.
I want to leave yall with my favorite verse of all time:
"Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not."
D&C 6:36
I don't know what exactly the Lord has in store for me in the next few weeks and months and years, but I know that as I keep focusing on the Savior and making Him the center of my life, I can continue feeling the joy that I have felt every day of my mission.
Thanks again for following along! I'm giving my homecoming talk this Sunday the 18th in Prosper, let me know if you want the address. I'd love to see you there!!
So, for the last time,
Hermana Thrasher
